FACT: The human heart is not on the left-hand side of the body; it's in the middle.

Anterior Spinal Artery

When you stand up, blood goes to the lower extremities. This is certainly partly due to the fact that blood runs to any muscle tissue being proved helpful and mostly due to the effects of gravity. In down position eliminates both these factors. When you are standing up, the heart has to perform harder, against gravity, to find the blood streamed through the human body and back to the heart. That beats more quickly to triumph over the effects of gravity. Lying down gets rid of gravity, which means that your heart does not have to work because hard nowadays. Your heart rate slows down.
